The runes are from our ancestors and were used both as a writing language and magical symbols. The bag contains 25 stones from the seashore and each of them has a symbol. Whith each bag comes a brochure that explains the rune symbols and how to use them.

The first glyphs were called runes, from the Gothic runa, meaning a secret thing, a mystery.
The old Germanic rune alphabet is known as the futhark after its first six letters F-U-TH-A-R-K  The traditional Germanic futhark is comprised of twenty-four Runes.

According to legend, Odin hung for nine nights on Yggdrasil, the Tree of the World, wounded by his own blade, tormented by hunger, thirst and pain, unaided and alone. However, before he fell, he spied the Runes and, with a last tremendous effort, seized them.

In the Old Norse poem The Poetic Edda, Odin, the great rune Master, speaks across the centuries.
The motto for the runes could be the same words that were carved above the gate of the Oracle at Delphi: Know thyself. The Runes are a teacher and a source of guidance. Consider this Oracle, if you will, as a sacred game, or use it for inspiration.

How to use the runes: Consulting the runes

The leather bag contains 25 stones from the seashore and all except one have a symbol inscribed.

• Think about a question, a topic or today´s situation.
• Choose a rune from the bag. There is a symbol on the stone*.
• Read the meaning of the symbol.
• Meditate the answer.

*Note that one of the stones has no symbol on it. It does have an interpretation

The rune gives you a clue, but the choice is always yours.
